PS. Don't be alarmed if the texture of the balm starts to slightly change or crystalize. If you notice your balm melting, you can pop it in the freezer for a bit!

Please note this does not alter the potency or effectiveness of the product. Our CBD balm does not contain preservatives, so changing temperatures and weather can cause the balm consistency to change.

Why? Butters contain different levels of fatty acids, which all have different melting points. The fatty acids in The Ritual harden at different rates when they're allowed to cool too slowly after melting (this is why we recommend the freezer over the fridge!) The butters with higher melting points solidify before the butters with lower melting points - sometimes producing a grainy texture.
